We are delighted to have recently learnt that we have been specified by the main contractor and architect to supply a highly prestigious and historic Northamptonshire stately home with a new limestone floor as part of it’s restoration. The stone itself is a famous and well known Lincolnshire stone Ancaster Weatherbed an extremely hard wearing beige limestone with an attractive showing of fossil and shells throughout.
The stone shall be laid on most of the ground floor on a wet underfloor heating system separated with a Ditra Schluter anti cracking movement membrane as part of the modern refurbishment of the west wing of the 16th century hall. This is phase 2 of the project in which we are supplying a large 600mm x 600mm limestone tile.
