Rule Britannia

Exporting British limestone who even knew it would come to this!? In the past couple of months we have sent stone flooring to Denmark, France, Monte Carlo, Jersey, The Isle of Man and Southern Ireland – English limestone has long been admired but cheap imported stone are often favoured due to overseas manufacturers keeping costs down mainly because of less red-tape and less ethical trading standards than British manufacturers adhere to.

Our beautiful native cream limestone is favoured by self-builders, building contractors,  architects and interior designers as a neutral back-drop to build on. English limestone flooring is gaining massive momentum year after year both here and for export and British manufacturing should be at the core of our economies recovery moving forward. For too long we have seen stone fireplaces, stone sinks, external stone flooring, roofing slate, building stone and worktops fabricated from imported material and used within our shores when in truth we have some of the finest stone available to us in this country.
